SLE Pune – 10-Year Warranty & After-Sales Support Policy

At SLE Pune, we believe a modular kitchen should be designed for your space, manufactured with care and supported throughout its applicable warranty period.

To provide our customers with greater confidence, SLE Pune offers a 10-Year Product Warranty on eligible modular kitchen cabinets and doors, subject to the applicable warranty terms, project documentation, product specifications and the conditions stated in this policy.

For stainless-steel kitchens, the applicable 10-Year Warranty applies to eligible stainless-steel kitchen cabinets and covered components specifically mentioned in the project warranty documentation.

Hardware, fittings, appliances and other third-party products are covered according to their respective manufacturer’s warranty terms wherever applicable.

SLE Pune also provides 2 Years of Complimentary After-Sales Support for genuine warranty-related service requirements, subject to the applicable warranty terms.

1. 10-Year Product Warranty

SLE Pune provides a 10-Year Product Warranty on eligible modular kitchen cabinets and doors.

For eligible stainless-steel kitchen projects, the applicable 10-year warranty covers the stainless-steel kitchen cabinets and covered structural components specifically identified in the project documentation.

The warranty is intended to cover qualifying:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Material-related defects covered under the applicable warranty.
  • Qualifying workmanship issues.
  • Installation-related issues attributable to SLE Pune, where applicable.

The warranty applies only to eligible products and components specifically covered by the applicable warranty documentation.

The 10-year period should not be interpreted as a blanket warranty covering every item supplied or installed as part of the kitchen.

2. Stainless-Steel Kitchen Warranty

For eligible SLE Pune stainless-steel kitchens, a 10-Year Warranty may apply to the covered stainless-steel cabinets and structural components specified in the customer’s project documentation.

The warranty is subject to:

  • The actual stainless-steel product supplied.
  • Applicable material specifications.
  • Manufacturing quality.
  • Installation conditions.
  • Normal domestic use.
  • Proper maintenance.
  • Warranty documentation.
  • The exclusions stated in this policy.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, scratches, physical impact, harsh chemicals, unsuitable cleaning products, excessive moisture, unauthorized modification, third-party work or other excluded causes.

Important

SLE Pune should not describe a stainless-steel kitchen as “100% rust-proof forever.”

Stainless steel is designed to provide strong resistance to corrosion and moisture, but proper care and maintenance remain important.

3. Cabinets and Doors

Eligible modular kitchen cabinets and doors supplied by SLE Pune may be covered for up to 10 years against qualifying manufacturing and workmanship-related defects.

Coverage is subject to the applicable product and project documentation.

Different materials, finishes and product categories may have different characteristics and warranty conditions.

The applicable warranty should therefore always be checked against the customer’s quotation, invoice and warranty documentation.

4. Hardware and Fittings Warranty

A modular kitchen may contain different hardware and fittings, including:

  • Hinges.
  • Drawer runners.
  • Drawer systems.
  • Channels.
  • Lift-up mechanisms.
  • Baskets.
  • Pull-outs.
  • Handles.
  • Storage accessories.
  • Other branded fittings.

Hardware warranty is provided according to the respective hardware manufacturer’s warranty policy.

Therefore, hardware does not automatically receive the same 10-year warranty as eligible SLE Pune cabinets and doors.

The applicable hardware warranty may depend on:

  • Brand.
  • Product.
  • Model.
  • Manufacturer.
  • Purchase documentation.
  • Manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Where appropriate, SLE Pune may assist the customer with the hardware warranty process.

5. 2 Years Complimentary After-Sales Support

SLE Pune provides 2 Years of Complimentary After-Sales Support for genuine warranty-related service requirements from the applicable installation or project-completion date, as specified in the project documentation.

This support is intended to help customers with genuine issues relating to eligible SLE Pune products.

Complimentary after-sales support does not mean unlimited free repair, replacement or service for every type of damage.

For example, service arising from:

  • Customer-caused scratches.
  • Physical damage.
  • Chemical damage.
  • Water leakage.
  • Misuse.
  • Unauthorized modification.
  • Third-party workmanship.
  • Customer-requested changes.

may be chargeable where the issue is outside warranty.

6. After the Complimentary Service Period

After the 2-year complimentary after-sales support period, SLE Pune may continue to provide after-sales assistance where technically possible.

Depending on the nature of the service request, applicable charges may include:

  • Service visit charges.
  • Labour charges.
  • Transportation charges.
  • Replacement component charges.
  • Hardware charges.
  • Repair charges.
  • Additional carpentry or modification charges.

Where reasonably practicable, applicable charges will be communicated to the customer before chargeable work is undertaken.

The availability of service and replacement components may depend on product availability, manufacturer support and technical feasibility.

7. Valid Invoice / Bill

Customers should retain their original SLE Pune invoice/bill throughout the applicable warranty period.

The invoice or bill may be required to verify:

  • Customer details.
  • Project details.
  • Purchase date.
  • Product details.
  • Warranty eligibility.
  • Applicable project terms.

A valid SLE Pune invoice/bill is an important warranty document.

Customers should keep it safely along with the warranty documentation.

8. Customer Warranty Declaration

SLE Pune may require the customer to complete a Customer Warranty Declaration Form.

The customer should review the applicable warranty terms and complete the declaration with the required signature within 7 days of installation or project completion, as specified in the project documentation.

The declaration confirms that the customer has received or been made aware of:

  • Warranty terms.
  • Product-care instructions.
  • Warranty exclusions.
  • Hardware warranty conditions.
  • Customer responsibilities.
  • After-sales support procedure.

The signed declaration should be retained by the customer.

Failure to complete the declaration within the specified period may affect warranty claim processing or verification until the required documentation is completed.

This documentation requirement is not intended to remove any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

9. Customer Inspection and Satisfaction

After installation, customers are encouraged to inspect the completed kitchen and communicate any visible concerns to SLE Pune.

The customer may be asked to confirm completion through the applicable project or declaration documentation.

Customer confirmation does not mean that genuine defects that could not reasonably be identified during inspection are automatically excluded from warranty.

SLE Pune aims to assess genuine warranty concerns based on the actual condition and cause of the reported issue.

10. What the Warranty Covers

Subject to the applicable terms, warranty assessment may apply to qualifying:

Manufacturing Defects

Defects resulting from the manufacturing process may be considered under the warranty.

Material Defects

Where the supplied product has a qualifying material defect covered by the applicable warranty, SLE Pune may assess the issue.

Workmanship Defects

Qualifying workmanship-related issues attributable to SLE Pune may be considered.

Installation-Related Issues

Where an eligible issue is reasonably determined to result from SLE Pune’s installation work, it may be considered under the applicable warranty.

Each claim is assessed based on the actual product, circumstances and cause of the issue.

11. Scratches and Physical Surface Damage

Scratches, cuts, abrasions and physical impact damage caused after installation are not covered as manufacturing defects.

Warranty does not ordinarily cover damage caused by:

  • Sharp objects.
  • Hard objects.
  • Metal objects.
  • Physical impact.
  • Abrasion.
  • Friction.
  • Dragging objects across surfaces.
  • Improper handling.
  • Accidental impact.
  • Third-party work.
  • Damage during shifting or relocation.

If the reported problem is caused by a scratch or physical damage, the affected repair or replacement may be chargeable.

A genuine manufacturing defect will be assessed separately.

12. Colour, Coating and Finish Damage

Warranty does not ordinarily cover colour, coating or finish damage caused by misuse or external factors.

Examples include:

  • Peeling caused by misuse.
  • Chipping caused by physical impact.
  • Scratches.
  • Abrasion.
  • Discolouration caused by unsuitable chemicals.
  • Heat damage.
  • Improper cleaning.
  • Chemical exposure.
  • Unauthorized modification.

Reasonable variations in colour, shade, grain, texture, gloss or pattern may occur depending on the selected material and finish and do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.

13. Chemical Damage

Customers should use cleaning products that are suitable for the specific surface and material.

Damage caused by acid, harsh chemicals, solvents, abrasive cleaners or unsuitable cleaning products is not covered where such use causes the reported damage.

Customers should avoid:

  • Acid-based cleaners.
  • Strong solvents.
  • Industrial chemicals.
  • Abrasive powders.
  • Harsh bleaching products.
  • Unsuitable surface cleaners.
  • Chemical removers.
  • Any cleaning product unsuitable for the selected material.

Customers should follow the care instructions provided for the selected material.

When in doubt, customers should contact SLE Pune before using an unfamiliar chemical product.

14. Water and Moisture Damage

Customers should take reasonable precautions to prevent prolonged exposure to water and moisture.

Warranty may not cover damage caused by:

  • Sink leakage.
  • Plumbing leakage.
  • Appliance leakage.
  • Water entering cabinets.
  • Flooding.
  • Continuous dampness.
  • Excessive moisture.
  • Failure to repair a known leak.
  • Third-party plumbing work.

If leakage occurs, customers should address the source promptly to prevent further damage.

15. Misuse and Abnormal Use

Kitchen cabinets, doors, drawers and hardware should be used for their intended purpose.

Warranty may not cover damage resulting from:

  • Excessive force.
  • Overloading.
  • Slamming doors or drawers.
  • Forcing hardware mechanisms.
  • Standing on cabinets.
  • Sitting on doors.
  • Climbing on drawers.
  • Using cabinets as ladders.
  • Hanging excessive weight from doors.
  • Abnormal use.

Proper use and regular care are essential for long-term performance.

16. Unauthorized Modification or Repair

Customers should not modify covered products without appropriate approval where such modification could affect the product.

Warranty may not apply to damage caused by:

  • Unauthorized drilling.
  • Cutting.
  • Dismantling.
  • Cabinet relocation.
  • Door modification.
  • Third-party carpentry.
  • Unauthorized repair.
  • Hardware replacement.
  • Structural modification.
  • Other alterations.

If third-party work causes or contributes to a reported problem, the affected issue may fall outside warranty.

17. Third-Party Products and Appliances

Some projects may include third-party products such as:

  • Hardware.
  • Appliances.
  • Electrical products.
  • Plumbing products.
  • Accessories.
  • Special fittings.
  • Countertop products.

These products are subject to their respective manufacturer’s warranty terms.

SLE Pune does not represent a third-party manufacturer’s warranty as its own warranty.

Where appropriate, SLE Pune may assist the customer in identifying the relevant warranty procedure.

18. Normal Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear resulting from regular use is not necessarily a manufacturing defect.

Examples may include:

  • Minor surface marks.
  • Gradual finish changes.
  • Normal hardware adjustment.
  • Minor cosmetic changes.
  • Natural ageing.
  • Reasonable signs of regular use.

Warranty eligibility will depend on whether the reported issue is reasonably considered a qualifying defect.

19. Heat and Appliance Damage

Customers should use kitchen appliances according to their manufacturer’s instructions.

Warranty may not cover damage caused by:

  • Direct excessive heat.
  • Hot objects placed directly on surfaces.
  • Incorrect appliance installation.
  • Excessive heat from appliances.
  • Steam or heat beyond normal intended use.
  • Third-party appliance modifications.

Appliances remain subject to their respective manufacturer’s warranty.

20. Warranty Claim Procedure

If a customer notices a potential warranty issue, the customer should contact SLE Pune promptly.

Step 1 – Contact SLE Pune

Step 2 – Provide Information

Customers should provide:

  • Name.
  • Project address.
  • Invoice number, if available.
  • Installation/completion date.
  • Description of the issue.
  • Photographs.
  • Video, where useful.
  • Product or hardware details.

Step 3 – Initial Review

SLE Pune may review the information and request additional photographs, videos or details.

Step 4 – Inspection

Where necessary, SLE Pune may arrange an inspection to determine the nature and cause of the issue.

Step 5 – Resolution

Where the issue is covered, SLE Pune may provide an appropriate warranty resolution, which may include:

  • Adjustment.
  • Repair.
  • Replacement of an eligible component.
  • Hardware manufacturer support.
  • Other appropriate corrective action.

21. Warranty Assessment

A reported issue may have different possible causes.

For example, surface damage could be caused by:

  • Manufacturing.
  • Physical impact.
  • Chemical exposure.
  • Improper cleaning.
  • Water.
  • Third-party work.

Therefore, SLE Pune may need to inspect the affected component before confirming warranty coverage.

The warranty decision will be based on the available information, inspection findings, applicable warranty terms and project documentation.

22. Out-of-Warranty Service

If an issue is determined to be outside the applicable warranty, SLE Pune may offer paid service where technically possible.

Possible charges may include:

  • Visit.
  • Labour.
  • Transportation.
  • Replacement.
  • Hardware.
  • Repair.
  • Additional carpentry.
  • Modification work.

Where reasonably practicable, applicable charges will be explained before chargeable work begins.

23. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  1. Using the kitchen properly.
  2. Following care instructions.
  3. Avoiding harsh chemicals.
  4. Avoiding abrasive cleaning.
  5. Preventing water leakage.
  6. Avoiding excessive weight.
  7. Protecting surfaces from scratches.
  8. Avoiding unauthorized modification.
  9. Retaining invoice and warranty documents.
  10. Reporting genuine issues promptly.
  11. Providing reasonable access for inspection or service.

24. Customer Satisfaction

SLE Pune’s goal is to maintain a long-term relationship with every customer.

Our customer journey includes:

Design → Material Selection → Manufacturing → Installation → Inspection → Warranty → After-Sales Support

We encourage customers to contact us whenever they have a genuine concern.

Early communication can help identify the cause of an issue and reduce the possibility of further damage.

Customer feedback also helps SLE Pune improve its design, manufacturing, installation, and service processes.

25. Fair Warranty Administration

SLE Pune aims to assess warranty claims fairly and according to the actual cause of the reported issue.

A warranty exclusion applies to the affected issue or component where the exclusion is relevant.

For example, customer-caused damage to one component does not automatically mean that unrelated eligible components lose their warranty.

Genuine manufacturing or workmanship defects will be assessed separately according to the applicable warranty terms.

26. No Blanket Warranty Cancellation

SLE Pune does not intend this policy to mean that one isolated issue automatically cancels every warranty right relating to every component.

Where a problem is caused by misuse, chemical damage, physical damage, water leakage, or unauthorized modification, the affected damage or component may not be covered.

Unrelated eligible products or genuine defects will be assessed separately.

This provides clarity and fairness for both the customer and SLE Pune.

27. Product Care

Customers can help extend the life of their kitchen by:

  • Cleaning surfaces with suitable products.
  • Wiping spills promptly.
  • Keeping cabinets reasonably dry.
  • Avoiding harsh chemicals.
  • Avoiding abrasive materials.
  • Preventing water leakage.
  • Handling doors and drawers carefully.
  • Avoiding excessive weight.
  • Following hardware care instructions.
  • Contacting SLE Pune before making major modifications.

28. Warranty Documentation

Customers should safely maintain:

  • SLE Pune invoice/bill.
  • Final quotation.
  • Warranty document.
  • Customer Declaration Form.
  • Hardware warranty documents.
  • Project specifications.
  • Installation/completion records.
  • Service communications.

These documents may be required to verify warranty eligibility.

29. Warranty Period

The applicable warranty period should be confirmed in the customer’s project documentation.

For eligible products covered by this policy, the stated product warranty is 10 years, subject to the applicable terms and exclusions.

The warranty commencement date should be determined according to the relevant project documentation.

30. Replacement and Product Availability

If a covered component requires replacement, SLE Pune may provide the same or a reasonably suitable equivalent component, subject to product availability and applicable warranty terms.

Exact matching may not always be possible where:

  • A product has been discontinued.
  • A hardware model has changed.
  • A finish has been discontinued.
  • A manufacturer has changed specifications.
  • A particular material is no longer available.

31. Legal and Consumer Rights

This policy describes SLE Pune’s commercial warranty and after-sales support terms.

Nothing in this policy is intended to unlawfully remove, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

Where mandatory law provides a customer with a right or remedy, that right remains subject to applicable law.

The warranty should be read together with the customer’s quotation, invoice, project specifications and applicable manufacturer warranties.
